U1IoT device development
Connected devices, from idea to product.
We design the whole device: the electronics, the firmware, the connectivity and the enclosure. We work with NFC, Bluetooth LE, LoRaWAN, Wi-Fi and Matter, and choose the protocol for the task, not out of habit.

What we solve
When people call us about an IoT device
01
You have an idea, but no hardware
You know what the device must measure or control. We choose the parts, design the board and write the firmware, and you decide at every step.
02
An off-the-shelf module is not enough
Maker boards are fine for a demo, not for hundreds of units in an enclosure, on a battery and under warranty. We make a board for exactly your task.
03
The device has to talk to a phone
Bluetooth pairing, tap-to-configure over NFC, or a local web interface over Wi-Fi. The app for it is built by our software partner CulSoft.
04
It has to run for years on a battery
Sleep between measurements, the right radio and a calculated power budget - before the first board is ordered, not after.
What you get
Everything you need to build it without us.
We hand over the source files at every stage, not just the finished device. The rights transfer with the contract.
| Document | Format | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Architecture and part selection | Why this microcontroller, this radio, this supply | |
| Schematic | Source files + PDF | With the power and current calculations |
| Circuit board | Gerber, drill, assembly | Ready for a manufacturer of your choice |
| Bill of materials | BOM, CSV | With alternates for the key parts |
| Firmware | Source code | With build, flashing and update instructions |
| Enclosure | STEP + STL | For 3D printing or injection moulding |
| Test report | What was tested and with what result |

How it runs
Five steps to the first run
- 01
Call and scope
The task, the environment, power and quantities. We come back with a technical approach and a staged estimate.
1-2 weeks
- 02
Schematic and parts
Architecture, radio, power supply and a schematic with the calculations behind it.
1-3 weeks
- 03
Board and prototype
Layout, ordering, assembly and the first working samples.
3-6 weeks
- 04
Firmware and testing
Connectivity, low power, updates, and testing in the real environment.
3-8 weeks
- 05
Ready for production
Enclosure, suppliers and a test procedure for every unit.
Depends on quantity
Durations are typical for a device of medium complexity. We confirm them after the first call and put them in the quote.
Proof
Devices that already work
RiNGY and NSpot went the whole way - from schematic and firmware to installation on site.
Questions about IoT devices
How much does IoT device development cost?
It depends on the scope: the sensors, the radio, the enclosure and the quantities. After the first call we give a staged estimate, so you can decide where to start. The first call is free.
Who owns the device?
You do. We hand over the schematic, the board files, the source code and the enclosure models, and the transfer of rights is set out in the contract.
Do you build the phone app too?
The apps and the cloud are built by our software partner CulSoft. We work to one plan and one schedule, and you deal with one team.
Can we start with a short run?
Yes, and it is usually the sensible way: a few samples to trial on site, then a pilot run of a few dozen devices. Short runs are assembled with partners; for large quantities we prepare the package for a manufacturer of your choice.
Do you help with certification?
We design with CE and the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) in mind: certified radio modules, the supply and the layout. The testing itself is done by an accredited lab, and we help you prepare for it.
