U5Industrial automation
Firmware and electronics for industry.
We develop firmware and electronics for industrial automation: controllers, data-collection modules and the link between your machines and your systems. We work with the equipment you already have, without stopping production.
- Custom firmware
- Controllers and modules
- Existing equipment
What we solve
When production calls us
01
The machines run, but the data stays inside them
We add a module that collects data from the machines and sensors and passes it to your systems - without replacing the equipment.
02
You need custom firmware
We write firmware for controllers and modules that have to run around the clock, for years, in an industrial environment.
03
Readings are written down by hand
Automatic reading of counters, temperature or pressure, with history and alerts when something drifts.
04
Off-the-shelf equipment falls short
We design a controller or module for the task when ready-made ones cannot cope - for mounting in an electrical cabinet, on industrial power.
What you get
Automation, documented all the way.
We document every signal and every connection, so the system can be maintained and extended without us.
| Document | Format | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Signal description | Spreadsheet + PDF | What is measured, where from and how often |
| Controller or module | Device | Off the shelf or designed for you |
| Firmware | Source code | With build and update instructions |
| Wiring diagram | Cables, power and mounting | |
| Commissioning report | Signals and values checked |

Connectivity
How it runs
From survey to data in your system
- 01
Survey
The machines, the equipment, the available signals and the network.
1-3 days
- 02
Specification
What the system must do, what is measured and how often.
1-2 weeks
- 03
Development
Choosing or designing the hardware, firmware and set-up.
2-6 weeks
- 04
Commissioning
Installation and a check of every signal, without stopping the line.
1-5 days
- 05
Support
Monitoring, updates and changes when machines are added.
By contract
Most of the work is done while the line keeps running, and the switch-over is planned for a shift change or a day off.
How we work
Six stages, one team
The same path our own devices take - from the survey to support.
01 / 06
Idea
First we understand the task.
02 / 06
Schematic
Parts are chosen before anything is drawn.
03 / 06
Board
A board that can be manufactured.
04 / 06
Firmware
The software inside the device.
05 / 06
Enclosure
An enclosure, printed and tried.
06 / 06
Production
From sample to finished devices.
Questions about automation
Do we have to stop production?
Rarely for long. Most of the work is done while the line runs, and the switch-over is planned for a shift change or a day off.
What equipment do you work with?
Most industrial controllers and instruments that can exchange data. For equipment with a vendor-specific link we need the manufacturer’s documentation. We settle the approach after the survey.
Where does the data go?
Wherever you decide: your own server or a cloud platform. The apps around the data are built by our software partner CulSoft.
Do you work outside Varna?
Yes. Development is remote, and for surveys and commissioning we travel across the country.
